On behalf of Birkbeck College and the Department of Crystallography, I
would like to welcome you to PPS99.
This is the fourth time that we have run the PPS course and each time
both students and staff have enjoyed the experience of learning over the
Internet.
Please join in our BioMoo sessions if you can. They are held at different
times so that students in different timezones can participate. They give
you an opportunity to ask general questions about PPS and specific
questions about the material being studied. They are good fun. They will
start next week.
In a few weeks, we shall divide you up into groups and assign you a group
tutor. Meanwhile, the important people to get to know are Clare Sansom,
the Coordinating Tutor and Dave Houldershaw who is our technical wizard.
